The counting of votes for Presidential Election 2022 commenced at 11 am on Thursday (July 21, 2022) with

the contest between BJP-led NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu and joint Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Droupadi Murmu secured 2824 first preference votes-value of which is 6,76,803,

while her rival Yashwant Sinha bagged 1,877 first preference votes-- value of which is 3,80,177 votes,
