Every year on April 22, World Earth Day is observed to express our thanks to the Earth by encouraging peace and environmental conservation.
"Invest In Our Planet" is the theme for World Earth Day 2022. It's past time to encourage individuals to take action to improve the climate.
The catastrophic Oil Spill in Santa Barbara, California in 1969, which killed over 10,000 aquatic species, inspired the notion of honouring Earth Day.
Many activists, including Gaylord Nelson, were motivated by this occurrence to increase public awareness about environmental conservation. On April 22, 1970, the inaugural Earth Day was observed.
